Diagnosed with lupus in 2013 and undergoing a kidney transplant in 2017, Gomez shared that this is the first time she’s publicly discussed her inability to carry a pregnancy. Despite this, she’s found solace in the options available, such as surrogacy and adoption
“It’s not the path I imagined for myself,” she said, acknowledging her initial disappointment. However, she views these alternatives as a blessing. “I’m grateful for the opportunities to become a mom through other means,” she added. Gomez remains optimistic about the journey ahead, even if it differs from what she originally envisioned.
