A critical AMBER alert was issued on Tuesday as authorities in North Carolina launched a search for a missing 3-year-old girl.
The local police in Boiling Spring Lakes are actively looking for Khloe Marlow, who was reported missing on September 8. Authorities believe Khloe might be with a family member.
Khloe is described as being about 3 feet tall, weighing 37 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
The alert suggests she could be with Jamie Lee Marlow, a 49-year-old woman, reportedly Khloe's grandmother.
Jamie Lee Marlow was last seen driving a red 2018 Kia Sportage with the registration PMN9366, around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

AMBER alerts are emergency notifications issued when authorities determine a child has been abducted and is in immediate danger.
The system, named after Amber Hagerman—a young girl abducted and murdered in 1996—stands for "America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response."
These alerts are disseminated via various channels including radio, television, road signs, and mobile devices.
History and Impact
Since its inception in 1996, the AMBER alert system has helped recover 1,085 children up until 2021.
Additionally, 97 children have been rescued through Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), as per the Department of Justice's data.
The system was first introduced by Dallas-Fort Worth broadcasters in collaboration with local law enforcement to develop an early warning mechanism for abducted children.
It was created to honor Amber Hagerman, whose tragic case sparked the need for such a system.
By the end of 2023, AMBER alerts had successfully recovered 67 children, with 72 percent of these recoveries occurring within three hours of the alerts being issued.
