Fatal Shooting of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi
The woman, identified as Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, was struck by a gunshot to the head during the demonstration. Eygi, a U.S. citizen of Turkish descent, was participating in a regular protest in the town of Beita, an area frequently marked by clashes between Israeli settlers and Palestinians.
According to WAFA, Israeli troops fired upon the protesters, critically injuring Eygi. She was later pronounced dead at Rafidia Hospital in Nablus.
