Authorities Find Missing Oklahoma Man’s Body Over a Week After Truck Discovered at Golf Course Near Tulsa

Oklahoma Man

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the body of an Oklahoma man was discovered in a dense, wooded area over a week after authorities had initially found his truck at a nearby golf course.

According to Tulsa Police Department Captain Richard G. Meulenberg IV, Christopher Coulston was reported missing on September 3.

Surveillance footage from the following day provided the last known sighting of him. Authorities located Coulston's truck on September 4, parked on the north side of Mohawk Golf Course.

On September 13, after an extensive search, the department confirmed the recovery of Coulston's body.

He was found more than a mile and a half northeast of where his truck was discovered.

His body was located about 50 yards from the bank of Bird Creek, deep within a heavily wooded area.

The cause of death remains undetermined at this time.

The Tulsa Police stated that the medical examiner's office will provide further details once the investigation is complete.

In the midst of the search, Coulston's daughter, Brandy, shared her concerns on Facebook on September 6.

She mentioned that despite having no clear reason for her father’s presence at the golf course, it was evident he had driven there himself, as evidenced by the steering wheel lock.

Brandy expressed her confusion and frustration, noting her father's meticulous nature regarding his truck.

She emphasized that it was highly unusual for him to leave it unattended for such a prolonged period.

Following the discovery of Coulston's body, his other daughter, Tina, posted a heartfelt message on Facebook on September 13.

She expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the search effort, noting that the search party for the following day had been canceled.

Tina's post conveyed deep appreciation for the support received: "Our precious Daddy was found today. Every single one of you has done more than we ever expected and could imagine.

There’s truly no amount of love and gratitude we could express or repay you."

At the time of the latest update, Tulsa Police had no additional information to provide.
