Arsenal fans were left on edge during Norway's recent UEFA Nations League match against Austria, which ended with a 2-1 victory for the Norwegians.

The match was overshadowed by an injury to their captain, Martin Odegaard.

During the game, Odegaard was forced to leave the pitch after twisting his ankle in a painful encounter with Austria’s Christoph Baumgartner.

The 25-year-old midfielder clearly struggled with the injury, limping off and visibly wincing in pain.

Concern for Upcoming Fixtures

Odegaard had to be assisted off the field by two trainers, leaving fans and his team concerned.

The extent of his injury is still unclear, but it poses a significant worry for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, especially with the north London derby against Tottenham approaching this weekend.

Update from Norway’s Medical Team

Following the match, Norway’s team doctor, Ola Sand, provided a cautiously optimistic update. Speaking to TV2, Sand mentioned, "Martin is doing quite well now.

He sustained a small ankle sprain. We’ll monitor his condition through the evening and tomorrow to determine the next steps.”
